In some cases, they are driving to Nebraska from other states to abandon their children.
Can you imagine the scars this has to leave on the children? I am so appalled that I am at a total loss for words. I would guess that the legislature didn’t imagine this consequence because it is unimaginable. Sure, every so often a parent tosses a child out, but in hordes? And to pack them up and drive them to another state to get rid of them — which can in no way be dismissed as spur-of-the-moment anger? Too cold-blooded for me to even fathom.
